Super School is a series of after-school classes which challenge and entertain students Classes are $90.00 for each 9-week session.

Our Super School instructors are experts at making their courses exciting and fresh. By the end of the course, students are amazed at how much they've learned while having so much fun!
Your children's safety is a priority with us! We escort all kindergartners to Super School from their classes at dismissal. First graders are collected on the playground and then escorted to class.
Parents who enroll their children in Super School and the Homework Club have found the combination to be a creative, structured, and economical answer to after-school care.
Super School fees cover instructor salaries, classroom maintenance dues, and promotional expenses. P.F.R.D. (Parents for Riverside Drive), a non-profit volunteer organization, oversees the Super School program. The Super School co-directors, Karyn Stuart and Sheryl Klein, create and run the Super School sessions without salary, as a "donation" to Riverside Drive Elementary.
Financial aid scholarships (equivalent to 20% of the total SS enrollment) are available. Student families in need of a free class should complete an application and check the box to request a Financial Hardship Form.
Watch your child's backpack for information on the second Spring 2008 session slated to begin late January 2008.

Homework Club 2007
The Homework Club provides parents with flexibility, affordability and "Peace of Mind" with respect to safety for their children. This program offers experienced homework guidance; children are encouraged to complete their homework on their own and may choose to have our staff correct it or not (each teacher's recommendations are strictly respected by the staff). The Homework Club also provides children with supervised free-play after they complete their homework.
P.F.R.D. (Parents for Riverside Drive), a non-profit volunteer organization, oversees the Homework Club. Proceeds from the Homework Club support the Enrichment Programs at Riverside Drive Elementary!
Homework Club is an affordable $5.00 per hour and $4.00 per hour when more than one child in the family participates. Please call 818-990-8559 to find out more about The Homework Club.
Stop by after school to complete and sign the forms and your child may begin attending the HWC the following day.

Youth Services
"Beyond the Bell" Youth Services daily after-school program is offered, without charge to students, year-round. This recreation service is provided by LAUSD and is open to second through fifth grade. This service allows children the opportunity to participate in wholesome recreational activities at a convenient neighborhood site. Pamphlets for the program can be found in the main school office. Kindergarten through 1st grade students are not allowed to be on the yard unsupervised. (Please make arrangements for pick-up after school or arrange for childcare.)
Hours are from 2:25-6:00pm. Please contact a Playground Supervisor on the yard after school with any questions.
